Shahrukh khan was born to a middle class family and lost
both his parents at an early age. At a point when he had nothing, he made up
his mind to rule the city he was born in, India.
When he decided to work as an actor he was told that he
wasn’t good looking enough to pull off the chocolaty hero look and was also
called ‘UGLY’ which made him do negative (villain) roles. Later on he proved
himself as the best looking and most demanded actor in the industry.
He started up working in stage shows, tv serials and took
movies that were rejected by popular artists and signed villain roles but was
liked by the audience even more than the hero.
He married the first girl he ever talked to after a
courtship of 6 years even though they had religious differences but being
charming as he is convinced his father and mother- in- law without having a
stable job, and family support at the time.
Being a muslim he respects all religions and made a movie
My Name is Khan to support the muslims being treated unfairly because of 9/11
attacks. The realization to make this movie came when he was kept waiting for
several hours for security checking at the airport just because his name was
Khan.
He works 18 hours a day and admits I love waking up in
the morning and having makeup on my face and sweating and dancing and just
doing what I do.
He charms the audience by his self deprecating humour,
shows utmost respect to women – “Nobody dare misbehave with women on my set”,
Shahrukh Khan.
He has been suffering from many injuries like shoulder,
back and knee injury from doing action roles in films over the years but still
that doesn’t stop Khan from always trying to do the perfect shot. Perseverance
plays a large role in his life.
Despite his strict working schedule he still finds time
for his children and wife and says when I’m home I don’t take any phone calls
from work.
Today he is 52 years old, has done more than 80 films, is
the biggest superstar in the world (making more money than Tom Cruise), net
worth $600 million, is a film producer, does television hosting and many things
besides flaunting an eight-pack in his movies.
